METHOD / CORE
A round opening needs more than a diameter
Core drilling requests are easier to review when the purpose, location, material, depth, access, and known site risks are described together.
Y 08
Opening details
List the quantity and approximate diameter of each opening. Add the expected depth or wall thickness only when it comes from a plan or reliable field information.
Y 16
Purpose and position
Explain what will pass through the opening and identify the face or area where the location is marked. Tell the provider whether finish protection or tight placement matters.
Y 24
Unknowns to flag
State whether reinforcement, utilities, scanning, water collection, or access restrictions are unknown. The provider can then explain what must be confirmed before cutting.
